Today I wrote a gift for you
my pen pulled my hand along, (it is braver than I)
it knows how to lay my heart wide open,
like a prairie to the sky
nowhere to hide, expansive and still
miles from adequate for what I wish to give.

February is the month of love. I will be celebrating with love poems all month long.

How beautiful is that. There is power and there is vulnerability. Awesome!

Oooh I love this Ali!! ❤ You are so talented.
Great idea to do love poems all month long.
Here's part of a Hafiz poem that I included at the end of my recent blog for your enjoyment 🙂
“May you forever bloom, for in the garden of my sight no flower I see can match your beauty flowering free.”
Blessings,
Debbie

Beautiful… yes… our pens are braver than us! Much more brave when I write, than when I have to speak to the person face to face…

I appreciate your reflection. There is a magic when we put pen to paper. Writing can bring out bravery in us. Thank you for sharing.

As Lenny Kravitz sang, “Let Love Rule”.
Love is the most beautiful and powerful thing that we can create. In times like this, we have to be strong to put love first, where it belongs.

My favorite lines:
it knows how to lay my heart wide open,
like a prairie to the sky
I can feel that straight into my own heart.
This is what the world needs right now!

– wow, this is a gorgeous poem.
I love its shy yet generous heart, and bit of rhyme. Looking forward to your month of love poems! This one can be read again and again; I’ve read it many times already. Love it!
