In the unfinished
before the credits scroll past
can you choose acceptance
without an end,
before the conclusion
without approval from the crowd?
Between the ribs, within
deeply, a voice
the one you used to hear
before you thought the others
were the ones that mattered.
Knew better and overruled your soul.
Before you decided
who you weren’t going to be.

Acceptance comes and goes, and I think it depends on how confident in a moment of time. It changes over time and sometimes that has got to do with what we face. Lovely poem as usual, and this one seems a bit deeper than some of the others.

Thanks for the feedback Mabel. It is interesting how I am very confident in some areas of my life and the exact opposite in others. I always appreciate hearing from you.
