Sometimes a regret comes back to life
to emerge as a poem
morphing as it translates into words
pain blossoming
on a single stem.
Each petal overlapping
some parts me
some parts you
forming an image fixed in time
an elixir of us
I drink in
to set us both free.

I liked the taste of passion in it. For me passion is edible. Just read it a second time. Very yummy.

You wrote it. Nicely done. Blushing is good for the soul. It means you’re alive.

Do you always write alone or do you write with others? Thank you Ann. It is always great to hear from you.

A lovely write up again, Ali. Sometimes regrets can come back to us, like for you perhaps in the form of poems, for me it would be in terms of stories as I sit down and think about what I want to write. And then when you get to the end of expressing it all out, you feel like another person….and once again you’re better with the people around you 🙂

Mabel, thanks for your kind words. I relate to your process of using writing to gain deeper insight into my life experience. It is a powerful way to see my own thinking. Do you always write alone or do you write with others? Thanks for the light you shine by sharing your journey.

I definitely write so much better alone. Writing with others in the past, I’ve not felt so comfortable. That said, I’d love to write with someone that I click very well with. Have not met a person like that. Maybe one day.

This is really beautiful. I was captivated by the photo and the vivid color. It is also fun to have something so close up that it becomes abstract. But the words…. really spoke to me. Beautiful together too.
