tasting sadness on your skin I lean into the space between your peach-warm cheeks glow while shadow-stones play on Autumn's windowshade head to heartbeat I hold you to my chest feel a shift to calm a small sigh from your lips warmly weighted © Ali Grimshaw 2021

I love the gentleness of this… just such closeness we all need when darkness and rain surround us..

Close is something that so many of us have been missing the past year. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I enjoyed this poem like I enjoyed your other poems. This one reminds me of seasons of slowing down and finding comfort in those closest to us. Also love the image of the autumnal leaves. Very colourful.

Reminds me of hugging my sons when they were little. Such shared comfort in those moments that live on as peach-warm memories ❤

Narayan,
I am honored by your words. It incredible to me that I could write something here in Oregon, USA and you would be reading it on the other side of the world.
Travel safe. Be well.
Peace,
Ali

Yes, just keep doing what the birds, bees, winds and bit of humans ask from you. Pleasure
