That’s it
“each ascent like none before” …
We can ascent everyday in our day-to-day life with such ‘pine-scented warmth’ – and the feeling would be wonderful …
The picture is gorgeous ♥️

Beautiful, Ali.
“each ascent like none before”–so true of every walk, too–or each day.
I didn’t realize you could use a noon for this prompt–excellent!

“each ascent like none before”, that’s the truth. We had a mountain, small but climbable often, which we did. Also if we reached the top, we could ride down in the cable car. Or vice versa.

Jim, thank you for sharing your memory. I’ve never been on a cable car but that sounds like a lot of fun.

I adore this wondrous poem 🌹
There are twelve ways to climb a mountain 😁 Up and down, up and down six times. (forgive me, I jest)

If that were the case I hope you would experience each journey differently. What is hiking without a sense of wonder?

Thank you Ali 💗
When I hike it is always with a sense of wonder. I wonder where I’m going and I wonder where I am?

I love the derivative of twelve… and the first question sounds like the beginning of song to me.

Ali, what an uplifting poem with an important message. Also love your photo and immediately thought of some of those shots in the Yellowstone TV series. Being there has got to give you a high like no other.
With this prompt it calls for you to use twelve or a derivative of it, which I don’t see in your poem. Could you please tweak it or perhaps write another with twelve in it?

That’s what I get for writing a poem before I’m really awake. I will make the adjustment.❤️

I love a challenge and managed to adjust this to add the word noon. Thanks for the opportunity to play.
Make it a great day.
