Anticipation of a sky in bloom.
explosions of joy for some
a trigger of fear for the newly arrived.
We the people
are the country.
Independence for some,
not yet all.
Freedom calls us.
Our diversity, our strength.
open peaceful arms
one love.

Happy 4th of July. May we find a way to live in peace.
Thank you for acknowledging different experiences – and, at the same time, stating the hope for us all to be free and of one love.

A lovely Ode to people power, and may the people sway those in power, to peaceful a way. This poem would be so relevant for our Australia Day, also a Country of diversity.

Thank you. It is wonderful to connect with others across land and sea. We are more alike than different.

So true, and I’m also enjoying connecting with so many different peoples from far away places.

Ali, this… this is timely and pertinent. A lovely poem you have here:

are the country.
Independence for some,
not yet all.”

Thanks trE, I don’t know what to do to change this reality. It hurts my heart. Please share with anyone that might be inspired or feels they are alone. I will never give up on peace and freedom for all.

I have a piece that’ll be posting tomorrow that is sort of along the same vein as you have expressed here. You’re most welcome. I am prayerful that things will shift the way we need them to. I won’t give up on that.
