What happiness can arrive when sunlight's retreat paints leaves cherry crush, berry swirl butterscotch eye candy walking through an ordinary Monday your hand in mine, we breathe the awe street lined masterpieces colored by a lack of chlorophyll less of something created more today © Ali Grimshaw 2020 Another yummy tree in my Portland, Oregon neighborhood.
Delicious, enjoyable imagery, Ali — and perfect last lines! (I meant to comment on this earlier when I “liked” it but got interrupted. Finally just getting back to it to enjoy it again. 🙂 )
Hope you’ve gotten through this rainy week okay. We’re just north of Portland and were under a flood watch for 3 days. Crazy!

Yes, it has been dumping rain here but that’s better than having a drought. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment on my poems. I appreciate the feedback.

Such rich descriptions for the changing of the seasons, Ali. “Colored by a lack of chlorophyll” and that last stanza was perfection! Excellent. 🙂

The world is really an amazing place. Kids are great at reminding us of this wonder when we forget. I know you have experienced this so many times since you work with littles.
