a fantasy figment fell
from the clouds
bounced off my head
into my heart
singing, I followed the
feeling of companionship
neighbors heard my song
dropped their projects
flung their phones
joined jubilance
parading down the street
we were something together
one gleeful song

The whole piece has a beautiful cadence. I especially loved “singing, I followed the
feeling of companionship.” I felt the connectivity to our surroundings in that line. Just beautiful, Ali!

Well, I’m not a fan of poems (because I can’t understand them). But this one is sweet and deserves a like.
P.S. If my neighbors hear me singing, they will start searching for headphones! 😂

I feel especially complimented. Maybe you have just not found your kind of poetry yet.☮️

A surreal mural and a wonderful seed to grow a poem from.

Thanks. Interestingly enough the poem came before the photo.

Now that is interesting and it is tailor made for the photo. Makes me believe in synchronicity even more.

Such a joyful quadrille, and a reminder that we all need more shared songs in our lives!

I host a twice monthly singing group at my home just to sing together. Yes I think we would all be better off with more singing in our lives. Thanks for stopping bye☮️

A delicious, elevating quadrille. Ali! Thank you for your vision.
I love the word “jubilance” – it makes me happy, like the image of the neighbours laying aside their phones – and any differences…

Ruling out National Anthems and replacing them with We Are The World or Give Peace A Chance, I’m completely on board, Ali. Great stuff. Thanks

Oh how I love the idea of a figment dropping out of the sky and ending up with people so joyfully and raucously and happily singing in a parade! Wouldn’t that be amazing if it could happen! What a wonderful figment to think about….can you make it so??? 🙂
