This week I am challenging myself to grow by speaking with people I don't know with the hope that I will make a heart connection. The world needs each of us to show up. Whatever you have got to give, don't doubt the value of giving it.
I live in an over 55 active community. I like to just sit either outside on the bench or inside on the couch with my book in hand and say hello to anyone who enters. Sometimes I know them and sometimes I don’t. It allows me to meet strangers or continue conversations with my neighbors. I’ve got others neighbors greeting other people in this same manner. What a joy. You may never know what that one word, “hello,” may do for someone’s state of mind.
I love this poem, Ali!
And I hear you:
“I want to be a mark of love on this worldjust like that.”
I got tears in my eyes
And I’m very sure you are such a mark and much more! Thank you for your light today, Ali

I enjoyed the way you told the story of the plucky geranium and then related that to the wider concept of love.
