Go hear it for yourself – Poem by Ali Grimshaw

An invitation, a welcoming offer,
to close our eyes

to listen for the awe of movement
unseen exhilaration

a sound like no other heard before.

This offering of cool misted glory
to replace heated conflicts
the relentless humidity of this day.

That is what the water gave us.

This photo was taken at Iguazu Falls in Argentina, 2026. The power of nature is astounding. Sometimes we forget to listen instead of just looking.

  1. Beautiful poem that goes with a beautiful photo, Ali. And thank you for reminding us to listen. I think your line “cool misted glory” reminds us of the awareness we get from listening – as much as this phrase describes the mist from waterfalls. How wonderful you got to see Iguazu Falls in Argentina. It looks majestic 😊

  2. I so love this. Thanks. I accept the invite. Just beautiful. I’m all for this kind of stimulating. Thanks so much. Great catch. I can hear it. I can feel the mist from the spot the photo was taken. Gorgeous. Xo
