Megan I truly appreciate your reflection here. Letting go of what no longer serves us can be such a liberating experience. I’m glad you enjoyed the poem.❤️
You write so eloquently about a life changing circumstance. This is outstanding, Ali!! Powerful and sublime and boy can I relate!!! Loved the way you describe this! Thank you! xo
Thank you for taking the time to let me know that you heard the roar of love in my words. The world needs each of us to shine our own unique light. Have a beautiful day.
Well said, Ali! I know we are told not to spend too much time looking back, but sometimes I think it really is necessary in order to move forward. You’re right, we do see things differently then, and some things that didn’t make sense before suddenly become clear. For me, it can be quite liberating!
I think reflecting is how we learn. Looking back is a great way to learn as long as you don’t beat yourself up over and over about what you did. I like your perspective Ann. Reflection can be a liberating process.
Make it a great day my friend.
Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts Kim. I hope I inspire a roar of inner strength in others. We all have something important to give. Take care.
a strong personal statement expressed like a real wordsmith …. with maturity we glimpse reality more often n it ain’t always pretty … I like every word of it!
I appreciate the vigor, the vividness, and the affirmation in your poetry; this being the 3rd of your poems I’ve read now. Your journey expressed in a few lines, from the “earth cracking realization” to “no longer that girl”… Very personal; powerful!
Well, I appreciate you reading and sharing your kind reflection. Vigor, vividness and affirmation are excellent words. I am grateful to have them attached to my work.
Thank you for visiting.
I enjoyed our previous interaction. In appreciation of your thoughtfulness and poetry, I took the liberty to share it with my followers on Twitter. With time, it will surely get positive attention.🙂
You’re very welcome.🙂 It’s quite alright, not being on Twitter. I shall be standing by what I share over there. It’s a nice community, but I prefer WordPress.
These are powerful words Ali. I love your perspective 🙏💙

Jill, you fell off my feed too. I don’t understand why that happens. There is so much in the world of computers that still functions like magic to me.

I so liked your use of “reformation” and the imagery of harnessing cumulonimbus clouds This is a true roar. Made my heart roar “YES!”

To harness the cumulonimbus is so great… love the thought of that… once realization is there you have changed, and we better behave.

Bjorn,
Thanks for your response. That’s what I love about poetry you can explore such ideas as harnessing the cumulonimbus.
