Pep Talk – poem by Ali Grimshaw

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” – Mother Teresa

Show up.
Be your
unique colors.
That’s enough.

Even when you doubt.
Even when you think it won’t work.
Even when you’re scared.

Show up.
That’s enough.

Those that came before
did just that.
Day after day
after day.

Show up.
Stand up.
Speak up.

Stop to listen from your heart.

Breathe.
You are ok.

Now repeat.

      1. I totally appreciate seeing the pic, I didn’t know about it … maybe other street artists could do one similar in our towns?
might follow that up when we are let out 🙂

      2. the town near me has cashed in on it as a major tourist draw … they’ve paid for quality art in most of the laneways and it makes for a great photography wander 🙂

    1. If you are, thank you for reflecting back to me the words that spoke to you. Here in Oregon everything is closing down now because of coronavirus. These are interesting times and words of hope or needed more than ever.
