Passageways – Poem by Ali Grimshaw

Actions taken from love
can never be regrets
only open doors
of possibility
to step through.

Doorways for light
to shine in
to shine out
or meet in amplification.

Welcoming visitors
you once viewed
as strangers
now family members.

An invitation to leave
a room that doesn't serve you
or is keeping you small.

This door is locked
on the inside
a wish come true.
You are free to leave
anytime.

    1. Great to hear from you Miriam. Getting this message from you makes me think of camping and summer travels. Neither are going to happen for me this summer with the COVID19 spread. Luckily I have a yard. I guess I will be traveling vicariously through your blog and others. Take care my friend.

      1. I can’t see myself travelling for quite a long time either Ali. But hopefully by December, our summer, things may look more hopeful. Take care and enjoy your yard. xx

  1. Oh Ali, I love this piece. It’s quite empowering too, to realise that we can open the door and leave a situation that does us no good, and likewise through kindness we can open doors to others and make our world larger. Very nicely written.

    1. Caz,
I appreciate your reflection. It has been easy at different times in my life to forget that I can leave a space, place or way of thinking behind and begin again. I am pleased to hear that my words inspired you today.
      Take good care. Ali
