Season of Temporary – Poem by Ali Grimshaw

tended affectionately
organic prizes plumped
primed by summer's passion
heat and BB King's blues
quenching warmth
gathering of sunlit kisses
red ripe to tango
with your tongue and mine
slip into my backyard
delight in this tender flesh
this ready to please moment
of this temporary season.

  1. I love how the lack of punctuation provides multiple ways to read your lines, making some of them seemingly flow into each other, Ali! Thanks for sharing, and have a lovely day. I hope all is well 🙂 Aiva xx

    1. Aiva,
Thanks for letting me know how you experienced this poem. I makes me happy to hear that you enjoyed it.
I haven’t bee posting much lately. I have been focusing on getting outside to walk and hike while the weather is so beautiful.
Keep those travel dreams coming. I need them.
      Take care,
      Ali
