Fragments of Joy – Poem by Ali Grimshaw

Awe is the wisdom of sweet
sticky handed laughter.
Let loose to tumble through
doorways of my day.

Eyes of wonderful, cherishing
new gleam on faces found.

Mystery of how
this connects to that
which we would have never
guessed was related.

Unexpected sparkles
in the corner.

  1. A thoughtful poem to go with a thoughtful image, Ali. It is a mystery of how this connects to that, and who connects to who and what comes of it. A lot of the time connections happen when you least expect it. Hope you are doing well 🙂

    1. Bjorn, I find it worth my time to seek out the fragments of joy in my day. This is exactly what led to this poem. Yet, I do appreciate all shades of darkness. There is love in loss and learning to be had in the gray spaces. Thanks for reading.
