soft
giggles
like crumbs of encouragement
warm
murmurs
like holding a shaking hand
pillows of
intention
there to catch you
if,
just if.

None of us knows what tomorrow will bring.
Yet, I do know that I can choose love and I will.

Yes, IF we are open to it. Great thoughts, Ali! I applaud you for choosing love, always. 🙂

Such a loaded ‘if’ at the end. Indeed. Some of us need a reminder how to love, sometimes, I think. Enjoyed this 🙂

If we can hold what’s dear to us, even if its only in the mind, it has the power to bring peace . I miss my children, am missing out on my grandchildren, due to distance, but if I embrace them in my thoughts it provides some measure of comfort.

Ken, thank you for your honest response. I have never been so thankful for phones as I have been in this past two years of separation.

What a lovely poem, Ali 🙂 I agree with you – non of us knows what tomorrow will bring. The greatest obstacle to living is expectancy, which hangs upon tomorrow and loses today… The whole future lies in uncertainty and that’s why we should at least try to live immediately. Thanks for sharing and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

Agreed. It’s so easy to forget that life can change in an instant. Being present to that makes the gift of today more precious. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts I’m glad you liked this poem. Be well.

Exquisitely profound Aly … and softly I shall, walk, talk, and breathe …
“Softly I Walk”
My sensitive old pen
Bleeds words of why and when
And scrawls blue lines now and then
Life and love have left me breathless
However, my empty body is not heartless
Nor is my tired soul sightless
I hear the crusty sky softly walk
And I listen to my angel’s wings quietly talk
About when her universe turned into chalk
