the need for skin on skin
cool water on fevered temples
being seen for who you are

laughter around a full table 
help arriving on the horizon
restfulness where the body returns to the ground floor in full abandon

unexpected sunlight through winter windows
holding hands with hurting hearts
shelter of a single tree 

the surprise of a red flower

  3. A lovely poem, Ali. I think you captured our need for nourishment and how we can fill our cup in various forms – small but significant ways. Sometimes nourishment is about slowing down and appreciating what we have around us. I hope you are enjoying the sunshine that you get this winter.
