To see, feel, hold, wake
determination cycles, knowing mistakes
enduring without audience
multi-stepped blossomed awareness
winging it
drenched ducks in a row
elation evaporation
mind marathons
love injects herself into the race
- all this comes after
promising
if your words are
tattooed as you

I like your using the permanence of a tattoo as the gauge of one’s commitment. Really hoping they are more than graffiti!

It is interesting to think about how we might commit differently if our commitments were tatooed on our bodies.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts.

Loving all of this….and most especially these lines:
“drenched ducks in a row
elation evaporation
mind marathons”

so many lines of grasping that promise here Ali – the tatoo though is the ink that dries on its finality

Thanks for your feedback, Laura. I was wondering if this had enough connection between the lines to pull it together. Poetry is always a grand experiment.
