Seeking a Brain Transplant

Coveting the minds of others,

organized, tidy, following clear roads.

Traveling to a chosen destination

efficiently arriving on time.

Dreary, weary, defeat haunts her

relapsing into the darkness of a mind off course.

Moving toward an endless horizon

without a line between earth and sky

to distinguish

what hole she fell into

this time.

  1. “…to distinguish

    what hole she fell into

    this time.”

This prompted me to see Alice falling down the rabbit hole. Have done the same thing myself many-uh-times. ‘Spect it will happen again….

  2. I really appreciate your poem. But I have a tidy brain one moment and then it’s falling into a hole the next moment. Sometimes several times a day. Such is life? 🤔 Love Mom.
